The most adventurous can perform alternative and
adventure activities such as Angling, Underwater fishing,
Scuba diving, Snorkel, Hiking, Rafting, Canoeing, Horseback
riding, Canyoning, Hydrospeed, Climbing, 4x4, Quads, Bungee
jumping, Sailing, Mountain Bike, Caving , etc.
There is also the possibility for golf lovers to
practice this sport in the Municipal Golf Course, with 18
holes and extraordinary views, just over 3 km from La Casa.
And to spend a quiet day, we recommend a relaxing walk
through Sports Port to the breakwater, where we can
contemplate The Cubes of Memory, Ibarrola, and back we will
pass through El Fuerte, El Sablón beach and the spectacular
Paseo de San Pedro, on the cliffs and from where we will
have a magnificent panoramic view of all Llanes, with the
Sierra del Cuera as a backdrop.
Another essential visit is to the Historic Center of
Llanes, totally pedestrian, where we will find the Basilica
of Santa Maria, the Medieval Tower, the current Tourism
Office, the House of Culture, the Chapel of Santa Ana, the
Chapel of Magdalena and a a great number of emblazoned
houses and palaces, such as El Cercáu, from the 16th century,
Miranda, from the 17th century, Duque de Estrada, or
Gastañaga, built on a 14th century tower, enlarged in the
17th century.
Apart from the cultural component, in the Historical
Quarter itself, we can not forget to take a cider "culín" in
any of the many cider houses that give festive atmosphere to
the area, especially in the Calle Mayor.
For trekking enthusiasts, three recommended routes:
The Coastal Path, born in the town of Bustio, on the border
with the Community of Cantabria, and leads us, following the
coast, for more than 50 km throughout the east of Asturias;
the "Camín Encantáu", which runs for 9 km through the
Ardisana Valley and which presents us during its journey, a
sculptural group on Asturian mythology with works carved in
wood by the sculptor Pedro Bueno; and the Route of the
Colors, a circular route of about 13 km. of length that runs
through the Oscuru Valley to the source of the Cabra River,
paradisiacal enclave, with informative panels illustrated
with drawings by Julio Rey.
We also suggest a visit to the Fishing Port, where we
will be able to see the boats that come from fishing come in
and assist in the sale of the fish. |
